Why A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional

There are countless “financial planners,” but having an independent financial advisor who is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional is an advantage.

CFP® professionals exercise a high level of competency, ethics and professionalism. They abide by the fiduciary standard as defined by the CFP Board.  Our personnel are CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professionals and demonstrate their knowledge in the following areas:

Education

In order to become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, advisors must complete a comprehensive course of study at a college or university offering a financial planning curriculum approved by the CFP Board.

Examination

CFP® professionals must pass the comprehensive exam that tests their ability to apply financial planning knowledge to real-life situations. This comprehensive exam ensures that a CFP® professional is highly qualified to develop a plan for your finances.

Experience

CFP® professionals complete several years of hands-on experience prior to earning the right to use the CFP® certification. CFP® professionals understand all facets of your financial life and are able to advise (and implement) needs like insurance and make sure you’re protected if life throws you some curveballs.

Ethics

CFP® professionals are held to high ethical standards, as outlined in CFP Board's Code of Ethics and Standards of Conduct.

If you’re not working with a CFP® professional, you risk being just an “account” to a firm that may not be addressing all the things you need to address. Kurt is proud to be a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and is excited to extend this knowledge and advantage to his clients.

CFP® professionals exercise a high level of competency, ethics and professionalism.
